Crozier Laboratory

The Crozier Laboratory is located in renovated basement space within Pierce Hall. The project entailed a complete retrofit of the basement to include laboratory and office space. The use of bright colors and efficient lighting improved the quality of the space while custom cabinets and work surfaces were tailored to the needs of the users. The focus of Professor Crozier's experiments are on nanophotonics and the development of near-field optical microscopy and photonic crystals. These experiments require critical light control and the accomodation of sophisticated equipment such as electron microscopes, picosecond lasers, and near-field optical microscopes, all of which were considered in the laboratory's design.
