Lecture Hall 209

Completed in the fall of 2008 for the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences , Pierce 209 is the only large capacity lecture hall (75 seats) within Harvard's Pierce Hall. The new design melds the traditional and the contemporary through its finishes and appointments. Prior to the remodel, the existing room was dated and its finishes and furnishings were worn. The new space features seven large windows that backlight the room. The design incorporates state-of -the art audio/visual technology, which allows Harvard to utilize distance learning capabilities. Motorized panels of wood coordinated with moldings of the paneled woodwork close electronically from controls located at the podium. Custom designed stadium seating ensures a comfortable experience for the end user.
