44 Irving StDouglas Okun & Associates acted as both the developer and architect in converting this large tenemant house into five luxury condominiums. Each unit was designed with consultation of the individual owner. Major alterations were accomplished while preserving the exterior character of the building. The introduction of natural light wherever possible was an important factor in the design. A varied palette of materials of natural wood, quarry tiles, and recessed lighting harmonize in each of the units.
