Malkin Athletic Center
The Malkin Athletic Center has won paludits from Harvard athletes and fitness buff since it reopened. The Malkin was selected by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as a winner of one of 15 Historic Preservation honor Awards for 1987. The National Trust's citation of the Malkin Center (formerly the Indoor Athletic Building) represents the first time that Harvard has won a Historic Preservation Honor Award. Renovation of 50 year old athletic facility included 4000 SF mezzanine, upgrade of all public spaces, and new windows installed throughout.
